Poynton won the toss and elected to bat.

Poynton 133 for 8 in 20 overs
Details not recorded.

AECC 73 for 7 in 20 overs
J Mackay 14 N Todd 13

League leaders Poynton put out a strong side including 1 X1 players who proved to be too strong for us.
When Steve Hutchinson and Alan Sibley, who renewed his membership of the Primary Club, departedfor 0 each, it was left to Mark Hutchinson and John Mackayto build a score against very quick accurate bowling. When Mark was caught at deep cover point for 7, the target was out of reach, despite good knocks from Captain Todd and Russell Hall.
Next Wednesday : Barnton at AECC

AECC v Warrington at Warrington 16th June 2005

Warrington won the toss and decided to field first.

AECC 134 for 5 in 20 overs
N Todd 32 ret M Hutchinson 31 ret M Alcroft 27
T Jackson 19 Best 2 for 18

Warrington 138 for 7 in 19.2 overs
Details not recorded.

We were on track for our first win as Warrington were well below the required rate after 10 overs, but some hard hitting, especially off the short ball on a softwicket, gave Warrington victory in the last over.

Next Wednesday : Poynton at AECC

AECC v Brooklands at AECC on 8/6/05

Brooklands won the toss.

Brooklands 114 for 6 in 20 overs
Willard 30 ret Garnett 30 ret
M Hutchinson 4 for 15

AECC 112 for 5 in 20 overs
S Bolton 31 ret M Hutchinson 26 T Jackson 22

We were unable to hit a winning 4 in the last over after being on target throughout our innings.
An exciting finish to a good game.

AECC v Christleton at Chester on Wed 1 June 2005

AECC won the toss and decided to bat.
AECC 111 for 5 in 20 overs ( 9 players )
J Mackay 33 ret S Bolton 23 no A Sibley 16

Christleton 112 for 5 in 19.5 overs
T Warnes 2 for 34 S Bolton 1 for 6

Despite 2 late call offs we gave Christleton
a run for their money. Some slack fielding gave
them more runs for their money - 3 taken to mid off
who decided not to give the ball back to the bowler.
No names, no pack drill as I would not want to
embarrass Bernard.

The finish was tense as 1 run was required off the
last 2 balls.

Next week : Wed 8 June - Brooklands at AECC

AECC v Cheadle at AECC on Wed 25 May 2005

Cheadle won the toss and decided to bowl first.

AECC 94 for 4 in 20 overs ( 8 players )
J Mackay 31 ret S Bolton 30 ret

Cheadle 95 for 2 in 16 overs

Cheadle put out the strongest side in many years
and with only 8 men, the target of 95 was very comfortable.
